Belize Spa Association Being Formed

Cayo's already known for being the adventure capital of Belize, along with a foodie destination, and now it looks like we're getting an association for Massage Therapists, making Cayo even more of a wellness destination. Awesome initiative, Ms. Habet!

"In collaboration with the Tourism Portfolio, Councilor Mai, Councilor Figueroa, and Councilor Rodriguez met with Certified Masseuse/Aesthetician Ms. Monique Habet.

Ms. Habet wants to form a Masseuse Association, making Cayo a Wellness Destination, the first of its kind in the country of Belize. The meeting was attended by other certified Masseuse in the community. The purpose of the meeting was to share the incentives of creating an association.

The next meeting is set to create a governing body for the Association. Please contact Councilor Mai or Ms. Habet to join the next meeting."

Massage Weekend Workshops

There are some massage workshops coming up at the end of the month, and the middle of July. The Vision Exchange will have workshops for Reiki and Cranial Sacral Therapy the weekend of the 29th, and deep tissue therapy for the shoulder and hips the weekend of July 12th.
