"This is our 19th annual Voice of the West competition for high schools students in the Cayo District. Students will compete in one of three categories and win cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place categories. The full event will air on March 25."

The Rotary Club of San Ignacio is having their 15th Elocution Contest on Thursday, February 2nd, at Hode's. Everyone's invited.
"This will be our 15th annual speech contest for the high school students in the Cayo district. Students compete in three categories - Original Poems, Published Poems or Excerpts and Persuasive Speech. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second and third place winners. The school of the first place winner goes home with a trophy to display at their high school. Join us for a great opportunity to see the power of speech our high school students will display."
The Rotary Club of San Ignacio has been busy lately. Not only did they bring the flash mobs to Cayo, but they are having their annual Voice of the West Elocution Competition at 6:30pm this Thursday at Hode's.
"We are getting ready for the Voice of the West competition for the high school students in Cayo, 42 students to be exact. I found out this event was a staple on Sept 10 back in the day, until the Independence Day celebrations became more about the politicians than the people. Join us at Hode's, 6:30 this Thursday night. Voice of the West rocks!"
The Rotary Club of San Ignacio will be having the 17th annual Voice of the West Elocution Contest on Thursday, February 7th, at Hode's Place.
"This is an annual competition for the high school students in Cayo to show off their writing and speaking skills. Each high school can send three students, from any form, to compete in any of three categories."

Sacred Heart College students Geon Codd and Beyonce Villafranco, along with Agatha Petchau from Belmopan Comprehensive all took 1st place in their category.
Congratulations, Bernard, Marion, and Joshua! They won at the 14th annual Voice of the West Elocution Contest, which was held at Hode's last night. Bernard and Joshua are attending Sacred Heart College, and Marion is at BCS.
