Video of the day. DJ Dalla visited Cayo for episode 3 of Music & Culture. He took a trip to the Green Iguana Conservation Project, then Xunantunich. Sam Harris from the Garifuna Collective plays at the base of El Castillo. DJ Flayva from Cloud 9 does a great set, and then the Jade Band performs at Falcon Field.

Belize is having its first Virtual Music Festival on Friday, May 1st. There's an impressive list of musicians, including Nello Player, Sam Harris, and Denise Castillo, just to name a few.

Video of the day. Belikin has released another fresh and amazingly shot Onli Eena Belize video, and this one focuses on Sam Harris, who lives here in Cayo, and plays locally with the World Culture Band and internationally with the award winning Garifuna Collective. Much of the video is the WCB playing at the Soul Project.

The Garifuna Collective and Danny Michel have a new video out for their song entitled 'Sad and Beautiful World.' Cayo is shown in the video, as is the Xunantunich ferry. Sam Harris, leader of the World Culture Band, which plays often around Cayo, is a featured musician on the song and in the video. It's a great song, with a powerful message. In related news, the Garifuna Collective is getting ready for another Summer tour with Danny Michel. They're going to show their Grammy award winning, Belizean music to the world. The World Culture Band rocked the Soul Project Saturday night. Emmanuel Mangar and Eddie Allen rocked out with the WCB, and together.
"For first time the World Culture Band did a gig without leader Sam Harris. Sam is on tour with The Garifuna Collective. show went great Sam would be proud, the gig was produced by Venessa Who also played drums."

Sam Harris and the World Culture Band played Saturday night at Lucky 5 Sports Bar and Grill. The WCB plays at Lucky 5 most every weekend. Cayo finally has some great live music on a regular basis.
On a related note, In Bloom will be playing at Lucky 5 on Friday.
