The Cayo Interact Club is having a Clothing Drive for the Red Cross.  It'll go through Wednesday, May 8th.  They are asking for any gently used clothes, shoes, and blankets. You can drop off at SHC or the SISE HoC. Call 637-6095 for more information.

Rotaract Blood Drive

The Rotaract Clubs of Benque and San Ignacio are teaming up with the Belize Blood Bank to do a Blood Drive.  It'll be Friday, June 17th, at the Red Cross building on Joseph Andrews, and it starts at 8:30am.  Give blood and save a life. 

 

"Tomorrow is World Blood Donors day and as we all know there is always a need for blood so Join Rotaract San Ignacio and Benque this Friday at the Red Cross building, located on Joseph Andrews Drive, between 8:30 am to 5 pm to donate blood!  Be a hero!  Save a life!"

The Purple Movement videos from their general meeting at the Red Cross building a few weeks back.  The Belizean Minds website, which is hosting the videos, is a thought provoking website too.

 

"To be honest, my perception is that the group is still in the process of taking shape and identifying it's most strategic goal.  But one thing is certain, they want to do their best to make a positive change.  I am of the opinion that the community is strongly discontented with the prevalent crime and that we as young people need to be that voice for the masses, and reinforce the idea that we deserve better."
