Felicitations, Ms. Santos!  The Queen of the West won the Queen of the Bay pageant last night.  Here's to a phenomenal year representing Cayo, and Belize.  May it be productive and fun.

"Queen of the Bay Designate, Miss San Ignacio/Santa Elena, Miss Kimberly Santos. After 54 years, more than half of century, Miss Santos has brought glory to her District and Area, winning the prestigious pageant to hold the title Queen of the Bay. We are proud of you."

The 2018 Queen of the West pageant is this Saturday, September 1st, at the Octavia Waight auditorium. 

The pageant contestants will have a meet and greet at Shell Santa Elena tomorrow between 3:00pm and 5:00pm.

Queen of the West 2017 is fast approaching, and the SISE Town Council is calling for pageant candidates.  Contact them at 804-2035 for more information.  The application deadline is June 24th.  

The SISE Town Council had their September Celebrations Launch at the Cayo Welcome Center, and the Queen of the West contestants were there too.  There was a lot of fire, and fine, entertainment.  Thanks, SISE Town Council!

The Queen of the West candidates will be presented next Saturday, August 6th, at the September Celebrations Calendar Launch at the Cayo Welcome Center.  The fun starts at 7:00pm.

Congratulations, Miss Kimberly Santos!  She won the Queen of the West pageant last night at the Octavia Waight auditorium, and will represent Cayo for the 2019-2020 season.

The SISE Town Council had their Back to School Extravaganza at the Cayo Welcome Center, where they gave out school supplies, and had a fun day for the kids.  Thanks, SISE Town Council, and everyone else that made this event happen.

CAYO Welcome Center, San Ignacio & Santa Elena Town Council, Child Advisory Board and the twin town’s business community came together as one to provide school supplies and school bags to children in our community."

Congratulations, Shameka Armstrong!  She's the new Queen of the West.  Jem Lyons was 1st runner up.  It was held on August 20th at the Sacred Heart College auditorium.  More pictures here.

And in other pageant news, Idolly Saldivar, Miss World Belize, is heading to Indonesia tomorrow. 

The rain might have stopped the Caribbean Coolers Pool Party, and the Queen of the West presentation, along with In Bloom, but Emmanuel Mangar is going to play tonight at the Cayo Welcome Center, come full moon or clouded sky.  The World Culture Band will be playing with him for this promotional concert in support of his being one of the finalists on the Be the Next Superstar.
