The Belize Coalition to Save Our National Heritage is having a logo competition.  If you have an idea for their logo, you have until May 24th to submit it.  The winner will get $300.  Good luck!

The Benque House of Culture will be celebrating International Museum Day tomorrow by kicking off their latest exhibition on the National Heroes of Belize.  They'll also have booths from the Belize Audubon Society, the Institute of Archaeology, the Belize Archives and Records Service, and the National Heritage Library.  The festivities start at 9:00am.  See you there!

The Benque House of Culture's celebration of International Museum Day was great, and they had a great turnout from the local primary schools.  They launched their new Belizean Heroes and Benefactors exhibit for the occasion.  Antonio Beardall was there from the Institute of Archaeology, and he did a wonderful job of explaining to the students about antiquities, and how we need to preserve the culture and history of Belize.  The Belize Audubon Society was there to give information on their 9 protected areas in Belize, and the National Heritage Library had an interesting display of older books and memorabilia.

The Belize Coalition to Save Our National Heritage had a booth at Agric, and they got a lot of pictures of people enjoying their exhibit.  They had games, prizes, and educational activities for their guests.

In related news, they are having a competition to see who can come up with their new logo.
