Congratulations Chaa Creek! "The article notes Chaa Creek’s idyllic location between the important ancient Maya cities of Caracol and Tikal before describing the many adventures and activities available within Chaa Creek’s 365 acre nature reserve."

It's great to see the Baboon Sanctuary in NatGeo's Top 10 Animal Encounters: "Two hundred landowners have pledged to protect their local population, an initiative started at Bermudian Landing and now covering more than 19 square miles (50 sq km) of rain forest along the Belize River."

Check out some of these great lush pictures from Don Elijio Panti National Park.  They show a diverse range of flora.  There are some from inisde the Ritual Cave too.

NatGeo also mentions Belize in their Best Adventure Destinations for 2012, because of Cayo, of course.  They even quote Larry Waight from Chaa Creek!  “Next year, 2012, represents an important time for rebirth, reflection, and renewal for the Mayas, who still make up a significant portion of Belize’s population,”
