The Ambergris Today crew visited Cayo, and had only great things to say about the Guava Limb Cafe. There's a reason it's number one on Trip Advisor. Everything they have is superb. Check out some of the perfect food pictures that Jose Luis Zapata captured.

Royal Rat at Benny's

Jose Luis Zapata was in town for a photo shoot at Xunantunich, and he was able to stop in Succotz at Benny's Kitchen to try some gibnut. Benny's does it right!

"So if you are wondering why it is called 'Royal Rat' in Belize it is because the Paca or Gibnut is scientifically classified as a rodent and when the British media learnt that Queen Elizabeth was fed Gibnut, they headlined their newspapers, 'Queen Eats Rat.' Here in Belize everyone took it lightly because we are cool like that and hence the dish was referred to as 'Royal Rat.' So remember to ask for and try our famous 'Royal Rat' if you haven’t. It is truly a Belizean delicacy"

Miss Belize Continente Americano Photo Shoot

"Chantae Chanice Guy was the first Belize delegate to make it to the Top 10 of any Miss World preliminary competition when she made the Top Model Top 10. Will she also make history at Miss Continente Americano? Chantae Chanice Guy of Belmopan, Cayo will represent Belize at Miss Continente Americano in Guayaquil, Ecuador during September, 2012. As she prepares to represent Belize at her second international pageant, Chantae worked with Jose Luis Zapata Photography to build her portfolio and get some professional pictures taken for official use."

Costa Maya Beauties Visit Cahal Pech

Tonight is La Reina de la Costa Maya pageant, and Karen Jasmine Middleton will be there as Miss Belize. The ladies toured Belize, and they had some fun in Cayo. Here are some pictures from their tour of Cahal Pech, taken by Jose Luis Zapata. Good luck!

Belize Fashion Week 2013

Cayo was well represented at the Belize Fashion Week in San Pedro. Joris Hendrik and Gabriela Berrera, with her Add!ction line, were there to show off their designs. Jose Luis Zapata was on hand capturing the magic of the catwalk. And is it just a coincidence that the catwalk is in the shape of a 'J' as in Joris?

News Exchange Magazine

The current issue of News Exchange magazine can be found at the Venus in Cayo. It's full of great articles, including quite a few photoshoots. Jose Luis Zapata has quite a few pictures in there.
