Saturday Jam Session

To celebrate the re-allowing of live music, The Bluffs will be having a Saturday Jam Session with Barefoot Skinny, Eddie Allen, Aldo Pineda.  It's free, and they only ask that you bring a food item to help the local feeding program.  

 

"In lieu of a cover charge we ask that you bring a donation ( dry goods) to be distributed by Libby's Soup Kitchen!"

Bamboo Bar had a wild grand reopening party.  Lots of good, and loud, music from some great artists.  BBQ too.

The SISE House of Culture is having a special Full Moon Concert tomorrow night, May 21st, at 7:00pm, at the Cayo Welcome Center.  It'll be a Psychedelic Blues Experience, and Eddie Allen and his band will really tear it up.  If you like music, you'll love this.

Tabby Johnson really went to town at the Soul Project this Saturday.  There were some real Blues played in Cayo this weekend.  The highly diverse group of talented musicians on the stage really made for a unique night.

 

In related news, Ridley Bent, coming all the way from Canada, will be performing at the Soul Project this Friday.

 

"Last night Concert of Tabby Johnson was a Smashing hit….Thanks to all who came out in support of the Winsom Foundation….My Thanks and Blessings to the Master of Gentle Talk and sound engineer…Emerson Gill…. The men who make instruments talk…in no special order …The heartfelt Drummer Barefoot Skinner…..The singing hands of the keyboard…Santos…. The Tribute for Hick, Ervin Gordon, local bass player, was Sunday night at the Cayo Welcome Center, and quite a few musicians, including the World Culture Band, Emmanuel Mangar, and Eddie Allen, came out to play some songs in his memory.  RIP, Mr. Gordon.

The Soul Project had their first Blues Night, and it was a great success.  Emmanuel Mangar and Eddie Allen played their hearts out.  Saturday nights are now Blues Nights at the Soul Project.

The SISE Town Council and Bamboo Bar are teaming up to have the best Halloween party Cayo has ever seen.  The all day event will be at the Cayo Welcome Center on Saturday, October 29th.  Ascenthium will be performing, along with Rosie Wood, Eddie Allen, and Justin Castillo.  There will be costume contests for kids and adults. 

 

"On Oct 29th at The Welcome center will be filled with trick or treats!  Live music! Great food and drinks!  Its an all day event!  Bring the family!"

Bamboo Bar is finished with their post-hurricane refurbishments, and they are celebrating by having a concert this Saturday, August 27th.  Ascenthium will be playing, along with Barefoot Skinny, and Eddie Allen!  Hot Taco will be there, and there will be BBQ.  New sand, new paint, and the same great food and drinks.  

 

"This Saturday its the Re-opening of Bamboo Bar! we got live music all night! cold drinks!  BBQ and Hot Taco in the house!  Starts at 4pm and runs till midnight!.  Spread the word and lets party!"

Psychedelic Multimedia at Soul Project

The Soul Project had their Psychedelic multimedia show last weekend, and it was quite the spectacle.  Eddie Allen did some amazing blues improv through the show.  The Soul Project is open most Fridays and Saturdays, and has unique shows like this one often.  Truly the cultural hub of Cayo.

Tabby Johnson in Cayo

Tabby Johnson, the Canadian jazz singer, will be playing at the Soul Project tomorrow night, Saturday the 14th.  The warm up Belizean musicians will be Drew Gill, Mark Phillips, and Alexander Evans.  This is a Winsom Foundation fundraiser for scholarships to students in Cristo Rey.

Cayo's Soul Project has their Blues Night tonight.  Every Saturday they bring in Eddie Allen and Emmanuel Mangar to jam the Blues.  The cultural hub of Cayo is known for great music, tasty tacos, and the widest selection of local wines in the country.
